Application Status and Prospects of Chinese Steel Structures

The downstream application market of steel structure also includes residential, energy, schools, hospitals, bridges and other fields. In addition to the three major fields, the application of steel structures in other fields in China is relatively small.

According to industry sources, China is the world's largest building with the largest volume of steel and has laid a solid foundation for the development of the steel structure industry. China's urbanization process is accelerating, residents still have a large demand for housing, and the development potential of steel structure in residential areas is huge; the application of steel structures in highways, bridges, schools, hospitals and other fields in China is relatively low, and the future steel structure industry has great development in these fields. The steel structure buildings conforms to the green environmental protection, energy conservation and emission reduction and circular economy policies advocated by the state at the present stage. As the market awareness continues to increase, its future development prospects are broad.
